Garden structures are becoming very popular as we take our indoor living outside. A gazebo or covered awning gives the perfect balance to enjoy the outdoor ambiance and protect ourselves from the elements.

There are simple structures that are quite easy to build yourself and there are lots of kits, plans and built structures available. You can very easily create a whole new room in your garden for very little cost.

As long as they are movable garden construction doesn't need planning permission. This includes gazebos and pergolas but does not include decking. If you have a large decked area you may need planning permission.
